SANJIESAN COSPLAY / Wig project organisation

Give wig delivery and styling their own places in the plan

A base wig arriving at the door and a finished character hairstyle being ready are different milestones. EpicCosplay’s FAQ states that it does not currently offer styling services. Whatever supplier you use, confirm what the actual purchase includes, then give any separate styling and review work a realistic place in the project.

Define the state needed at each handoff

Name the recipient and the state they expect: an unopened base for inspection, a piece ready for a stylist’s assessment, or a completed look for an agreed fitting. Ask the relevant person what information they need before accepting the work. A product photo showing a styled example is not a handoff agreement. If nobody has accepted responsibility for the remaining work, the project has a gap even if the parcel has a tracking number.

Use a fictional timeline to expose dependencies

Suppose a fictional shoot is on day 20 and a stylist needs the actual base for a review on day 10. Receiving the parcel on day 18 would not satisfy that plan, even though it arrives before the shoot. These dates illustrate dependency, not supplier lead times. Add the actual agreed work and review intervals separately, and leave uncertain arrival dates visibly uncertain. Do not convert a merchant’s general estimate into a guaranteed project deadline.

Choose a fallback before the schedule closes

Discuss what changes if the base misses the useful handoff date: a different agreed look, a simpler photo sequence or a later session may be better than compressing every task into the last evening. Include the wearer and responsible stylist in that decision. Record the current plan in plain language so a late parcel does not trigger conflicting assumptions. Success is a completed, accepted look in the right place, not merely a purchase made before the event.
