Give the photographed back of the wig its own check
A front portrait may be the main goal, but a planned rear image changes what the wig needs to communicate. Set up a separate visual check rather than assuming a successful front view answers it. The exercise is about choosing and reviewing pictures with the wearer, not inspecting them as though every unseen area must meet an invented perfection standard.
Name the purpose of the rear picture
Decide whether the image should show the back hair shape, a rear accessory or the relation between wig and costume. Choose one primary purpose and keep it connected to an appropriate reference. A picture intended to show a cloak may not need a close wig detail. Ask the wearer which views they want to share and retain private preparation pictures as private unless the agreed use says otherwise.
Review the whole visible arrangement
Use a comfortable agreed position and a simple picture at the planned angle. Look at how the main hair shape meets the shoulders, collar and any accessory. Compare it at the size where the final image will be seen. If a feature is hidden, try a different agreed camera view before assuming the styling must change. Keep the chosen character version beside the review so a practical photo adjustment is not confused with a new official hairstyle.
Keep only changes relevant to the picture
Discuss the few differences that affect the agreed image and refer any real styling work to the appropriate person. Do not begin altering a completed wig in response to every enlarged detail. A different crop or a separate accessory image may be the better solution. Save the selected rear view with the front view as a useful pair for this project, with any remaining limits stated plainly rather than concealed by a flattering preview.
