Make room for the hair accessory in the wig picture

A hair accessory can disappear into a dense wig outline, or cover the very feature that identifies the chosen hairstyle. Compare their relationship in a simple drawing before refining either. A picture study helps set visual priorities; it does not determine how anything should be attached to a real wig or worn.

Identify the shapes that matter most

Use the selected original or permitted character reference. Reduce the wig and accessory to two distinct blocks, retaining the important fringe, parting or ornament outline. Label any hidden area as uncertain instead of inventing construction. Ask which feature needs to be readable in the main portrait. If a known character has an established accessory location, preserve that fact and study the chosen view rather than casually moving the item to create a new design.

Compare overlap at the intended portrait angle

Try the planned front or angled view with both shapes visible. A second view may reveal the accessory without changing the costume. For a fictional silhouette exercise, leave a small gap between two paper shapes and compare it with direct overlap; do not treat that drawn gap as a physical clearance specification. View the images at a small size. If the accessory becomes an unexplained lump, simplify its presentation before adding smaller decorations that will also disappear.

Take the visual requirement to the relevant maker

Keep the preferred view and explain what must remain visible. The wig stylist or accessory maker can assess the actual object, compatibility and appropriate arrangement separately. Do not infer a workable mount from an illustration or conceal an unresolved attachment by cropping it out of a making brief. If the desired picture and the practical garment cannot yet be reconciled, retain both concerns as an open question rather than presenting a finished look that nobody has planned.
