Review the exported PDF, not just the source drawing
The editable drawing can look right while an exported handoff looks different. Inkscape’s PDF guide advises retaining the SVG source because the formats support different features. Make a separate review of the actual PDF the recipient will receive, using the software version and export workflow agreed by the project.
List the few features that must survive
Identify the emblem outline, important text, colour regions and page boundaries that matter to the prop task. Keep the source revision labelled and unchanged during the comparison. Do not rely only on a thumbnail showing that the file opened. A missing border or changed line break can be easy to overlook when the preview is very small. Select the actual pages and relevant close details that need a check without turning the review into an unfocused tour of every setting.
Compare the delivered file through the receiving workflow
Open the exported PDF in the intended receiving application or agreed review route and compare it with the approved source view. Check the important text and visible effects rather than assuming every application reproduces the editing canvas identically. If a feature differs, report the source revision, exported filename and observed difference to the designer. Avoid repeatedly converting the same copy between formats while losing track of which file was actually approved.
Keep approval tied to the exact export
Retain the accepted export with its revision and keep the editable master separately for future work. If the real task involves printing or another production process, let the relevant provider confirm its own requirements; visual review alone does not establish technical suitability. A later source change requires a new export and review of the affected features. This keeps an old approved preview from standing in for a new file that nobody has actually opened.
