SANJIESAN COSPLAY / BUYING GUIDE
Buy the garment bag for the costume’s real shape
A long bag may still be too narrow or too flat for the costume intended for it. WAWAK’s garment-bag directory distinguishes suit, dress and other formats, with material and size filters. Begin with the actual garment and its care requirements, then compare a specific bag instead of choosing from a convenient category name.
Compare the occupied shape, not just garment length
Use the garment’s actual hanging arrangement if the maker says that is appropriate. Include the relevant hanger and any volume that must remain uncompressed. Ask the seller whether listed dimensions are usable interior dimensions or the outside envelope. For a fictional example, a 140-centimetre garment outline does not fit a 130-centimetre usable length without changing that arrangement. Do not assume folding or compression is acceptable for the real materials simply because it solves the arithmetic.
Read depth, opening and package contents together
A gusseted and a flat option can have similar headline width and length while offering different shapes. Look for the actual depth information, access opening and closure description. Clarify what is included and whether the merchant sells one bag, a pack or a roll. Keep fragile accessories and wigs out of the assumed capacity unless their own guidance supports that arrangement. A bag suited to a dress is not automatically a protective case for everything worn with it.
Choose a quantity that solves the actual route
Compare how the selected bag moves from the agreed storage place to the vehicle or destination, without treating it as checked-luggage protection. If the practical task is carrying one costume, a large trade pack may leave most of the purchase unused. Check the selected option’s present terms and ask about unresolved material compatibility. Stop the comparison if the seller cannot explain the dimension that determines fit; a larger number on the product title does not repair missing information.
